About Us

Gippsland High Country Tours was established in 1987 and Jenny Lawrence (then Jenny Edwards) took over as proprietor and principal guide in 1991.

With Jenny’s enthusiasm for developing the business to provide true ecotourism experiences, Gippsland High Country Tours was one of the first thirteen tourism businesses in Australia to achieve Ecotourism Accreditation in 1997. We have now been inducted in Ecotourism Australia’s Ecotourism Hall of Fame for holding continuous Ecotourism Accreditation for over 20 years.

We pride ourselves in our small friendly groups, led by experienced guides. There is lots of information sharing as we explore, so you’ll find you are learning interesting things all the time. The tours and walks are all inclusive, so we arrange the travel, accommodation and meals.  Just pack your bag and enjoy the experience.

Gippsland High Country Tours is now closed, but please read on and follow the links to various pages with suggestions of other similar tour options.

Frequently asked questions

Everyone has questions and this is where you will find out more about departure points, using public transport, what is included in the fare, single supplement for solo travellers, type of vehicles, how much walking and more. We also explain what Ecotourism Accreditation means.
